Grace Lee Memorial Wesleyan Church is nestled in the beautiful countryside of Beaver Dams, New York—ideally situated between the scenic attractions of Watkins Glen and the vibrant city of Corning. Both communities serve as popular Finger Lakes destinations, offering natural beauty, cultural experiences, and year-round activities.
Our church is a hub of community connection and outreach. We are especially known for our thriving Food Pantry ministry, an impactful Vacation Bible School each summer, and our well-attended Trunk-n-Treat event every October. Grace Lee also enjoys strong partnerships with the local fire department, town government, and the nearby Penn York Wesleyan District Camp at Chambers, located just a mile down the road.
Our facilities include a versatile sanctuary/gymnasium space that comfortably seats 200+, a fully equipped kitchen, administrative offices, a small chapel, and a range of classrooms to support our ministries. The on-site parsonage was recently remodeled and includes four bedrooms and two bathrooms—providing a welcoming home for our future pastor and family.
Sunday mornings at Grace Lee begin with both adult and children’s Sunday School classes, followed by a unified worship service. We currently average around 40 attendees in Sunday School and approximately 120 in the main service. After the worship portion, about 20 children and helpers transition to Children’s Church. We also have several small groups that meet in various places throughout the week.
At present, we are being led by a TIPS pastor (Transitional Interim Pastor Services) and are experiencing a season of renewed energy and spiritual growth. We’re seeing increased volunteer engagement, the emergence of new leaders, and a collective excitement for what God has next for Grace Lee Memorial Wesleyan Church.
